The National and Kapodistrian University (Greece), that coordinates the project, with its advanced infrastructure and experience will participate drastically to the activities of all research steps starting from the optimal source selection following by analysis, isolation, characterisation and bio-evaluation of candidate compounds until the development of the lead products. The National and Kapodistrian University has expertise in plant extraction and method development for pilot scale production using “green” technologies and NMR based metabolic profiling.

University of Geneva (Switzerland), characterised by strong profile both in phytochemistry and bio-evaluation will facilitate significantly to the implementation of the respective research tasks of the project.  The University of Geneva has expertise in miniaturized methods and bioactivity assessment of Natural Products.

University of Innsbruck (Austria), is a reference laboratory with high expertise in phytochemistry as well as in state-of-the-art analytics, metabolic profiling and quality control. This know-how and experience will be incorporating to the successful implementation of scheduled research activities. The University of Innsbruck has experience for  in silico screening for identification of natural lead compounds, hyphenated techniques for analysis and identification of Natural Products.

Finally, the University of Reims Champagne-Ardenne (France) is a well-known research group with significant experience in phytochemistry and especially in extraction and isolation of natural products with advanced and high throughput techniques. The University of Reims Champagne-Ardenne is an expert in chromatographic process modeling from lab to pilot scale.

The industrial team of the NATPROTEC consortium is comprised of 4 dynamic companies. Specifically, Rousslet Centifugation (France) is an internationally leading industry in separation of Natural Products using the Centrifugal Partition Chromatography (CPC) technology.

KORRES (Greece) is a rapidly growing company with international distribution of products and recognized for its expertise in natural cosmetics.
BIONORICA RESEARCH bionorica-research-gmbh.html

Bionorica research GmbH (Austria) In March 2005, this subsidiary company was founded, which is a wholly owned subsidiary by Bionorica SE. The declared goal of the company is to drive forward research and development into herbal medicines in not just traditional but also new areas for Bionorica. The focus of the scientific investigation is on research into, and isolation of, botanical active substances using high-tech analytical and process technologies. Bionorica research is thus in a position to conduct precise research into the complexity of active substances in medicinal plants on a completely new technological level and on short time scales.

CAMAG (Switzerland) is a traditional SME renowned worldwide for its unique expertise in High Performance Thin Layer Chromatography (HPTLC).
